A lower strength bourbon from Wild Turkey, bottled at 81 proof (40.5% abv) and created by the associate distiller Eddie Russell, the son of master distiller Jimmy Russell. This has a high rye content in the mash bill and is aged in casks with a heavy char - the result of which is huge flavour and complexity without the same heat as the 101 proof.
A spiced, oaky nose with vanilla fudge, rye spices and coffee beans.
Rich and thick, notes of caramel, manuka honey and fudge, hints of rhubarb and custard sweets and oily espresso beans.
Caramel and coffee, hints of Black Forest honey and Hot Cross Buns. Charred and spicy.
A fabulous bourbon with oodles of complexity…

I get some oak notes at best, and maybe a tiny tinge of vanilla. thats about it, otherwise it just tastes like whiskey. Overall nothing special. I think I'll return to Buffalo Trace or Old Granddad
нічого надзвичайного але тверда 4ка стандартний бурбон який легко іде :)
Canadaian rye drinker and can definitely say this has earned a spot in my house. Straight up or with ice.
A true country mans drink nuff said
By the end of the glass (I drink whiskey neat) It felt like I'd had a bit of corn syrup placed on the back of my tongue. I would drink corn syrup if it wasn't bad for me! It has a floral nose, with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate I get leather, again cinnamon and quite a sweetness. The finish is floral with a thick syrupy flavor (the corn syrup). This is my first bourbon as I've traditionally been a scotch drinker, but I'll definitely give some more bourbons a try.
