Wild Turkey
A lower strength bourbon from Wild Turkey, bottled at 81 proof (40.5% abv) and created by the associate distiller Eddie Russell, the son of master distiller Jimmy Russell. This has a high rye content in the mash bill and is aged in casks with a heavy char - the result of which is huge flavour and complexity without the same heat as the 101 proof.
I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but Wild Turkey is by far the best Bourbon I've ever tasted. It's as smooth as silk. My only choice from now on.
Couldn't get this in my area for quite a while, worth the wait. Other bourbons just seem to burn. This is more like an Isle scotch to me, maybe just interpreting the char as smoke.
This is not great.wouldn't buy again.not enough on the palate.mainly mint.rather have buffalo trace or woodford reserve.or even famous grouse.

My go to is usually Wild Turkey 101 and it is quite good. The 81 is so good that this will be my daily drinker. The value for the taste is outstanding. Under 30 dollars. I taste caramel, toffee, and honey. But that's me. Very good whiskey
