A classic blend made up of 41 different whiskies. Whyte and Mackay special is a great mixer.

In common with my recent experience and review of High Commissioner, I was given a complementary dram of this on a train journey. Once again a dram, for which I had low expectations, turned out to be very nice indeed. Beautifully sweet, mellow, very drinkable and moreish. This was my late Dad's whisky of choice, but alas I was too young to drink it with him then and ironically I have never tried it until now, many years later. I'll definitely be buying this.
Walnuts dipped in Honey . Great value for the price.
This is my choice when I feel like a ‘sweet’, undemanding, but very enjoyable whisky. I have, and enjoy, a wide range of single malts but this is not a direct competitor. It should be judged for what it is - an attractive, great value, consistent, honeyed, smooth blend.
When it comes to whisky, I honestly don’t think you can find better value for money than Whyte and Mackay. Although uncomplicated, it is rich, smooth, sweet and quite intense. Much more than just a mixing whisky. Two teaspoons of water improve it further. Money well spent in my opinion.
Silky smooth and sweet. For a blended scotch you won't find better. It's got the oiliness and no bite after. Excellent in every way. ?
