Wire Works Madeira Finish
The team at White Peak distillery in Derbyshire present a Madeira cask finished edition of its lightly peated Wire Works English single malt whisky. You'll find plenty of sweetness and spice here, with generous notes of vanilla fudge, marmalade, nutmeg, and chocolate.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dried stone fruits, sultanas, ginger biscuits, and buttery fudge join notes of redbush tea, and a touch of nougat.
Palate
Chewy notes of treacle toffee, oily malt, smoked tea, and grilled peach, with hints of peppermint and hibiscus joining candied nuts and cocoa.
Finish
Chocolate-dipped candied orange, wintery spices and oak char linger.
