A Drinks by the Dram exclusive bottling of 12 year old rye whiskey from the excellent WhistlePig! Released as part of the Old World series, this expression features 75% whiskey finished in Madeira casks, 20% finished in French Sauternes casks and 5% finished in Port casks. The mixture of wine casks works wonderfully with the traditionally spicy rye at its core, resulting in a whiskey that is simply stunning.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Caramelised apricot, toasted oak, mixed nuts and vanilla flowers.

Palate Summer berry tart, white pepper, a touch of menthol, cinnamon, sultana, honeydew melon and caraway.

Finish Mint chocolate chip ice cream, boozey wine richness, cedar spices.
