A rum-cask-finished single malt Irish whiskey from West Cork Distillers, produced as part of a trio of expressions each with a different cask finish (including a Sherry and a Port finish).
Pecans, pineapple and a warming kick of Christmas-y cinnamon.
Oodles of vanilla, with another helping of cinnamon imparting depth.
Milk chocolate and clotted cream.
Discovered this rum a few days ago with a couple of friends. We bought it with a bottle of Botran 1893 Solera and an Abuelo 7. The Trois rivières won our hearts hands down. This is an agricole, so it follows more regulations than most rums. This means no added sugar, colourings nor flavouring. I was blast away how smooth and easy to drink and flavourfull this thing is for an agricole, will be buying more !
