Nose Pecans, pineapple and a warming kick of Christmas-y cinnamon.

Palate Oodles of vanilla, with another helping of cinnamon imparting depth.

Finish Milk chocolate and clotted cream.

Goes down easy
Incredibly soft, rounded and moreish, such an easy drink to enjoy yet it has a pleasing complexity. I'm really a straight-up rum guy but I'm totally sold on this. Marries the two spirits profiles wonderfully. Will buy again.

unpleasant
This irish whiskey is rather harsh and astringent. Underneath I can taste a bit of orange and chocolate, but it's hidden deep below the bitter surface. Underwhelms compared to other 12 year irish whiskeys.

GLAD I FOUND THIS
Poured a dram
Fresh fruity nose - soft plummy raisin
Waited a bit
Tasted it - lovely - clean and fruity -
Complex (could be a cousin of Aberlour Abunadh)
Added a tiny bit of water
Wonderful
The cork will stay on the table top for a while....

Avoid
I hope the previous reviewer realised eventually that this is not rum. :-)
I find this dram dissapointing, even more so because I think the underlying whiskey is not bad. But this rum finish is hamfisted, probably because the rum itself is of low quality.

Tasty and round !
Discovered this rum a few days ago with a couple of friends. We bought it with a bottle of Botran 1893 Solera and an Abuelo 7. The Trois rivières won our hearts hands down.
This is an agricole, so it follows more regulations than most rums. This means no added sugar, colourings nor flavouring.
I was blast away how smooth and easy to drink and flavourfull this thing is for an agricole, will be buying more !
