Nose: Peat and ash, with carbolic and kippers. Some sweet salinity too, with lots and lots of smoke.
Palate: The smoke swirls on the palate before giving way to a touch of sweetness. Typical Caol Ila flavours abound with milky barley and bacon.
Finish: Dark treacle and tar ooze slowly off the tongue.
Nose: A veritable bonfire on the beach. Delicious.
