The Hive Bottling Note

With a focus on honey'd qualities, The Hive blended malt Scotch whisky from Wemyss Malts is a sweet, rich, lip-smacking dram. As you can imagine, there's some good Speysider style notes at the core of this one - yummers.

Hive (Wemyss Malts) Reviews

sweet start then honey. nice enough...

interesting blend this. Sweet start with lots of honey, and i mean lots; vanilla too makes an apparance along with some flowers and a nice creamy mouth continues to throat. finish is warm and pleasent. the early sweetness wears of a bit and although perhaps just a bit too much honey for me, this is still quite nice for its pricepoint.
would i buy again?.. yes i think so.

it's covered in bees!

I was given this whisky as a celebration of a bee infested job well done, I was skeptical of its provenance, having never tasted a blended malt before...was very pleasantly surprised!
It has real character and a warmth that belays its young age
