Description
A cracking single malt Irish whisky here from the Waterford Distillery and its Single Farm Origin series, which is all about exploring terroir in whisky. This particular expression was made using Overture barley grown by Robert Milne in County Wexford. Five generations of Robert Milne's family have farmed those fields!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Enjoyably chocolatey, with hints of tangy fruit sneaking through.
Palate
Heavy vanilla and apple, leading to chocolate and lemon later on, plus a hint of clove.
Finish
Cedar, barley and another hint of fresh green apple sweetness.
