Another brilliant Armorik French single malt from Warenghem Distillery, Yeun Elez Jobic is named after an old swampy area that served as a peat bog until the mid 1900s. As such, this is a smoky affair from the Breton distillery, produced with barley peated to 50 PPM and matured entirely in bourbon casks to bring a sweeter balance. This is by no means a peat bomb, and certainly a good sipper for those who are dipping their toe into the world of smoky (and French) whisky!
Banana bread, herbal peat smoke, plum crumble, and custard.
Sweet smoke balanced by savoury coastal notes, with lemon jam and floral vanilla.
Wood smoke and warming spices, with a touch of salted caramel.
