A rather exciting release from Wardington's – it's the Ludlow-based distillery's first official release of English single malt whisky! Produced in a wood-fired German column still, this expression was allowed to mature in an ex-bourbon cask before finishing in a Scotch whisky barrel. Limited to a release of only 400 bottles, it's splendid stuff indeed and a promising sign of things to come!
Sweet caramel with fragrant wafts of heather, biscuity malt, and delicate vanilla.
Oaken vanilla increases with subtle whisps of peat smoke balancing silken butterscotch, floral honey follows with a touch of crisp green apple and peppery spice.
Creamy fudge, a lingering hint of soft smoke, bold oak, and buttery barley.
