The 2014 release of The Irishman Cask Strength Irish whiskey, which is distilled 3 times and matured in American oak casks, which are specially selected by Bernard Walsh for these limited releases. An absolute gem of an Irish whiskey, this is. 2,790 bottles were produced for this batch.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Oak and caraway, swiftly tempered by layers of thyme honey and Tunnock's Teacakes.
Palate
Fresh vanilla pod, treacle and lemon meringue pie. A good helping of cinnamon at the core.
Finish
Salted caramel, red chilli flake, dry oak and apricot.
