The beautifully presented Purple Haze is part of the first batch of whiskies Turntable has released. The brand is in the business of bold, modern, and approachable blends, with Track 03 representing its first sherried offering. A blend of Balmenach PX sherry puncheon, Craigellachie oloroso sherry butt, and Invergordon sherry barrel was married together for three months before being bottled up at 46% ABV. That rich colour is all-natural and it wasn't chill-filtred either.
Bright berries, dark chocolate, toffee, dates, and cinnamon.
Golden syrup, milk chocolate, candied pecans, and stewed plums.
Sherried, spicy, and delicately sweet.
A great sweet and sherried whisky. It is a dessert whisky. Wonderfully complex. Really good.
