This is a delicious whisky from Tullibardine, released in 2013. It sees the Highland whisky finished for 12 months in 228-litre Red Burgundy wine casks from Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet.
Spiced, with notes of red berry fruit, vanilla and toasted oak.
Creamy, nutty palate entry with notes of sweet custard, apple peel, red berries and orange blossom honey.
Long finish with plum jam and allspice.
Spiced and rich with a delicious influence from the red wine casks.

Glenmorangie,,s. No 1 fan with Aberfeldy a close second !! Until my first sip of Tullibardine 228 .Is there a special offer if wanted for an Embalming infusion.
It smells like dad: his strong black tea, his cigar that he’s saving, his moustache that he wears not only in November. The taste, on the other hand, is very chocolaty; dried dark fruit and tannins.
I bought this because I remembered loving Glenmorangie's Burgundy Wood Finish and hoped that this would be similar. I wasn't let down. It's got that same taste rush - an explosion of mint and toffee flavours that's warming and refreshing. A beautiful, complex palate that's smooth and worth savouring.
