Distilled at Tullibardine in the Highlands, this is a very tasty new whisky which was finished in a 225 litre cask (thus the name) which previously held maturing Sauternes dessert wine from Chateau Suduiraut. The result is a golden-coloured single malt with a deliciously creamy, fruity flavour.
Citrus peels and allspice. Notes of creamy vanilla, golden syrup, cocoa butter and black pepper.
Spiced palate entry with notes of candied orange and Seville marmalade. A little dried pineapple and white chocolate.
Medium finish with lingering sweet spices.
Superbly fruity whisky with a lovely influence from a dessert wine cask.

Just received a bottle of 225 for farthest day off my son. Excellent appearance, excellent packaging.
Occupies the spot just above Famous Grouse and the like. No burn, but no complex taste, depth and character. It is whiskey, fine to drink, but I could not say much more than that.
A bit fiery.Could be smoother.

Really enjoy this whisky from start to finish. Has that creamy and spicy feel about that I really love about lighter whiskies. Lovely white chocolate finish. Still has a young alcohol thing about but no bite
