A small batch bottling of 22 year old Tullibardine single malt Scotch whisky, drawn from two bourbon hogsheads which matured the whisky from 1993 to 2015. This is a WM Cadenhead Small Batch release, with 528 bottles produced.
Walnuts, chocolates and a touch of meaty malt.
Fruit begins to take hold here, with zesty citrus at the centre of it all. Another touch of milk chocolate.
Slight grassiness, with a slice of lemon drizzle cake on the side.
Absolutely phenomenal and truly one of the best whiskies I've ever tasted - if you can't enjoy this, scotch just isn't for you. The nose is incredibly complex; fruity and a generous dose of caramel and vanilla. The palate is wonderful, with oak and salt - you almost feel like you're biting into a warm and baked butter cookie. The finish is long and lingers in your tongue for minutes on end. All in all quite wonderful and accomplished.
