Malts of Scotland
Scotland
Cor, a very well-aged Tullibardine! This was distilled in 1980 and aged in a Sherry hogshead cask until 2014. Following its rather lengthy maturation, it was bottled by German indie bottler Malts of Scotland - just 146 bottles were produced.
Heaped tablespoons of cocoa powder and crushed nuts. Green and earthy at points, with a little hint of fresh bread.
Orange peels, crystallised ginger, sultanas and honey (it's rather reminiscent of a hot cross bun!), shortly followed by a touch of toasty oak staves.
Herbal and long, with a pinch of pepper coming along right at the end.
