This 2012 vintage Tullibardine single malt matured for 10 years in a Recioto della Valpolicella hogshead – which is a type of sweet red wine made in the Veneto region in Italy. It was bottled in 2023 by Alistair Walker for its Infrequent Flyers range, with an outturn of 260 bottles, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured.
Lots of jammy red fruit, with sweet cinnamon, and warm oak.
Sweet summer berries, star anise, thick set caramel, and leathery spices.
Spice on the finish, with some dried cherry.

Fantastic! A wonderful dark colour - very inviting and intriguing. NOSE: Christmas cake, custard, raisins and lingering spices in the background. Chestnuts also present on the nose. PALATE: a thick oily coating, which saturates the mouth with warm spices and pepper. A sweet syrup helps to balance the spice, its a wonderful experience of sweet and spice. FINISH: Dark grapes, spice and pepper again with an oaky presence. Really happy with this bottling and personally highly recommend.
