Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 1975

A cask strength bottling, distilled in 1975 at the Tullibardine distillery. The distillery had been closed for some time when it reopened in 2003. The first release of whisky distilled under the present ownership is set for 2014.
The nose is of medium-body and rather pungent. There are notes of pine oils and a resinous note, hints of polish and cut grass, notes of barley sugar and mint encrusted chocolate. The palate is full and firm. There are notes of fennel and aniseed, various preserves and notes of salty melted butter. There is a thick custard note with a touch of apple peel and hay. The finish is very long with notes of cereals and aniseed and a rather chewy oak.
