Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 1965

This 40 year old was distilled in 1965 at the Tullibardine distillery.
The nose is quite punchy and rich. There are notes of nut oils and aniseed, soft apple peels and hints of chewy sultanas and honey. There are notes of mocchaccino and rich chocolate enrobed fruits. Notes of rubbed peppermint leaves with a grape-like character and notes of drying oak. The palate is full and rather robust. There are notes of dry, powerful oak with notes of crème de fraise des bois with notes of sultana and acacia honey. There are shades of fino sherry with a healthy does of vinosity. The finish is long and well-oaked with chewy acidity.
