Scones with clotted cream and vinous strawberry jam, sultanas, dates and digestive biscuits. Linseed and honey.
Light and soft with hints of gentle spices (nutmeg, allspice), a touch of honey and creamy fruits in yoghurt.
Medium length with a little oaky/nutty bittersweetness.
A blend of malt whiskey, pot still whiskey and grain whiskey matured in bourbon and Sherry casks, all of which is evident here.

Tasted in a crystal whiskey glass at room temp, 73 f it evaporated on the tongue with a slight whiskey taste. Not a bit overwhelming but alcohol was detected slightly. Too much alcohol for my taste.
The look of a pour has an iridescent golden hue. The nose has strong vanilla and fruit. Palate is exceedingly smooth and creamy. Light burbon finish. A+ in my whiskey book.

Standard Tully has been my regular favorite for quite some time. The complexity of aromas and flavors in the 12 year old Special Reserve has my palate claiming a new favorite Tully!!!
Received a bottle for Christmas. Excellent. Highly recommend not like a typical Irish whiskey. Smoother.
