Originally launched for the travel retail market, this 12 year old Irish blend is full of sweetness and sublimely smooth.
Scones with clotted cream and vinous strawberry jam, sultanas, dates and digestive biscuits. Linseed and honey.
Light and soft with hints of gentle spices (nutmeg, allspice), a touch of honey and creamy fruits in yoghurt.
Medium length with a little oaky/nutty bittersweetness.
A blend of malt whiskey, pot still whiskey and grain whiskey matured in bourbon and Sherry casks, all of which is evident here.

The most boring whiskey I have ever tasted. No character, no complexity just another bland effort. The ordinary TD is better and cheaper.
Not a fan of the standard Tullamore Dew blend, but this one is a lot better. A bit thinnish in the mouthfeel, as tends to be the case for a lot of Irish whiskeys, but the taste and finish makes up for it. Nice.
