Tormore 27 Year Old 1988 (cask CM225) - The Golden Cask (House of Macduff)
Single cask single malt from the Tormore distillery in the prolific Speyside region. This whisky was distilled back in 1988 and left to mature for 27 years until 2015, when it was bottled for The Golden Cask range by the House of Macduff. 226 bottles were produced (and they're rather handsome indeed).
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Apple turnovers, fresh cream and a dusting of cinnamon.
Palate
Punchy orange and continued green apple. A good helping of malt keeps it grounded.
Finish
Nutmeg, barley dryness and yet more orchard fruit.
