Tormore 24 Year Old 1995 (batch 19/077) - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail)
An indie Tormore single malt, produced at the Speyside distillery in 1995. It spent nearly a quarter of a century in a single refill sherry puncheon, until Gordon & MacPhail emptied the cask in 2019. The whisky was bottled at 24 years old, with an outturn of 448 bottles at a cask strength of 56.2% ABV Connoisseurs Choice series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Chocolate sponge cake, with plump raisin, allspice, and some oily malt.
Palate
Raspberry and apple crumble, dark orange chocolate and treacle.
Finish
Apple blossom and ginger snap biscuits.
