This single malt from Tormore spent 11 years maturing, finishing up with a stay in a tiny little custom-made Pedro Ximénez sherry octave cask courtesy of the folks at Darkness. These tiny casks ensure greater interaction between spirit and wood, so you can expect plenty of sweetly spiced, fruity PX character here.
Tropical fruits and spices open the way, with nutmeg, sweet vanilla, dried mango, and syrup-soaked pancakes.
Classic Speyside fruitiness all wrapped up with layers of sherried oak and honey, biscuity malt, and fruit cake spice.
Raisin-studded vanilla fudge, toffee apple, spiced biscuits.
