It's the second addition to the Legacy Series – and second-ever release of single malt from the exciting Torabhaig distillery on the Isle of Skye, which first fired up its stills in 2017! Combining small batches of whisky distilled in 2017 and 2018, Allt Gleann captures the essence of Skye – brimming with roasty, smoky peat and plenty of maritime character. A very impressive expression indeed!
Wafts of woody tobacco and crumbly vanilla shortbread. Earthy peat smoke and a zing of lemon zest combine with a salty maritime note of smoked shellfish.
Bolder peat here, coastal tar with an oily texture, roasted, salted nuts, and light fruit salad. Floral wafts of heather, fennel, and a touch of metallic, medicinal pepper spice.
Sweeter fruit notes with apples and kiwi, vanilla oak and big hits of peat smoke, with continuing sea breeze and briny harbourside character.

Lovely dram. I drink and try a lot of whisky and am a bit of a peat head. This is quite peaty but has other flavours too. I don't believe in naming flavours that really don't exist in whisky just because we don't have the words to describe the actual flavours in a good dram. This is easy to drink but has a complexity to savour. Try it!
Absolutely superb dram! This bodes well for the future of this young distillery. An extremely characterful and evocative, maritime whisky!
Salty & peaty is the main event that are married together so well, this expression is just moreish with a nose that is intoxicating and addicts. I think this is one that should always be in the malt vault.
Superb whisky. Flavoursome and just enough peat to make it interesting. Drinking it slowly as I don't want to run out!
Greetings from Tallinn Whisky Club! Congratulations - you have produced a very good whisky! For some gentlemen there was a lack of depth and length but it is a young whisky. Lovely peat smoke, salty maritime notes and sea breeze - as MoM chaps fairly stated. 5 star whisky, for sure.
