Torabhaig
Allt Gleann - The Legacy Series Whisky
Customer Rating
“Impressive balance with a moderate peat influence, offering character without being overpowering. The drinkability is top-notch, leading to a satisfying finish. The whiskey presents a light, creamy texture, featuring notes of black and cayenne pepper, coupled with ashy smoke. A subtle hint of light fruit sweetness adds complexity. Although it's a non-age-statement, it stands strong vs a Talisker 10. Excited for future aged releases.”

Description
It's the second addition to the Legacy Series – and second-ever release of single malt from the exciting Torabhaig distillery on the Isle of Skye, which first fired up its stills in 2017! Combining small batches of whisky distilled in 2017 and 2018, Allt Gleann captures the essence of Skye – brimming with roasty, smoky peat and plenty of maritime character. A very impressive expression indeed!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Wafts of woody tobacco and crumbly vanilla shortbread. Earthy peat smoke and a zing of lemon zest combine with a salty maritime note of smoked shellfish.
Palate
Bolder peat here, coastal tar with an oily texture, roasted, salted nuts, and light fruit salad. Floral wafts of heather, fennel, and a touch of metallic, medicinal pepper spice.
Finish
Sweeter fruit notes with apples and kiwi, vanilla oak and big hits of peat smoke, with continuing sea breeze and briny harbourside character.
