Torabhaig 7 Year Old 2018 (Cask 1160) - Dràm Mòr
Torabhaig single malt here, distilled in 2018 on the Isle of Skye and bottled by independent bottler, Dràm Mòr. The single cask release was matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel and bottled at seven years old at a big 56.7% ABV, natural colour and unchillfiltered.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Grilled smoked bacon. Sea salt and long-cured ham. A stunningly savoury nose.
Palate
Sweeter than the nose would suggest, but we still have all of that delicious savoury meat so heavily promised by the nose. That subtle Skye peat is making a real impact of smoke without the medicinal notes so familiar with most peated drams.
Finish
Long and lingering as that savoury smoke and salted caramel play with the taste buds to the very last.
