A 23 year old Tomintoul, which after distillation in 1995, matured in an bourbon barrel and enjoyed a finishing a first-fill sherry butt for 36 months. After it was sufficiently sherried, the single malt was bottled in February 2019 by Signatory for the Cask Strength Collection. Only 708 bottles were produced, at 53.6% ABV.
Toffee, a kick of ginger, oak spice, and rich dark fruit.
Rich and fruity, a good helping of dried fruit alongside vanilla pod and dark cherry jam.
Gently spiced, with butterscotch, raisins and toasted oak.
