This interesting single cask single malt from the Tomintoul Distillery was drawn from a Caroni rum cask! It was distilled back in February 1998 and bottled 22 years later in March 2020 with an outturn of 237 bottles. Ought to be a fascinating dram!
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Aromas of clove rock and strawberry jam with hints of red cherry and muscovado sugar.
Palate
Brambles, beeswax and dark chocolate mingled with treacle toffees and a chilli prickle.
Finish
Woody and spicy with notes of mocha and nougat leaving an espresso coffee linger.
