Tomintoul 18 Year Old Bourbon Cask #37
A handsome bottle of Tomintoul single malt, distilled on 28 August 2000. It matured patiently in a single first-fill bourbon barrel for 18 years, and was bottled just after its birthday in September 2018. Only 237 bottles were released of this tasty whisky. A gentle dram indeed.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Creamy lemon cheesecake, caramelised almonds and white pepper.
Palate
Very mature, creamy notes returning on the palate with a good helping of lemon curd and a sprinkle of toasted nuts, mandarin peel and oak spice.
Finish
Oak spice lingers, along with gentle citrus notes and a dusting of cinnamon.
