Sorry about this...
We can't actually ship Tomintoul 16 Year Old to the United States at the moment (although we're working hard to fix that).
In the meantime, our friends over at The Whisky Shop might be able to help you out.
Thank you for your support and understanding 🙂

Tomintoul 16 Bottling Note
This is the 16 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Tomintoul distillery, matured in selected bourbon casks. It was crafted by fourth generation distiller, Robert Fleming. Rather elegant and flavoursome, this one.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Medium-bodied and punchy. There are notes of stemmy cut hay and dried grasses, a leafy green note and a touch of rooty earth and fudge.
Palate: Notes of boiled sweets, espresso, mochaccino, ground almonds and granary toast with melted butter. Vanilla fudge and thick cream.
Finish: The finish is of good length with notes almond and barley sugar.

roll in the hay
Nose same as palate: Apple cider, hay, and a salty sauce box needing attention.

Finest in Speyside if not Scotland
Tomintoul have a vast range of whiskies now and its not called the gentle dram for nothing but this 16 is head and shoulders above the rest

Smooth
Good but not particularly exciting - quite thin even, but a great start for someone new to whisky or enjoys a milder flavour. It is smooth and a great aperitif. Pretty good value at under £42.

One of my favorites. No peat and easy gentle taste

Smooth and mellow
If you're looking for a reasonably aged, smooth and mellow Speyside dram at a very reasonable price, then this may well be for you. Ok, it's not prefect - it's only 40%, is chillfiltered and is not natural colour but it does go down well and taste good. It's not my usual type of dram but i have to admit that I did enjoy it.

The very best !
This has been my go to scotch for several years. A consistent almond finish almost sherryish. Sadly it is becoming very difficult to find in the U.S. This may finally nudge us into a distillery visit. We think it is underrated and undervalued in scotch circles. Deserving of the highest praise !

Lovely dram
I discovered the Tomintoul range a few years back, the 16yr old is lovely dram easy to take, and one that I find fabulous value for money. I've had more expensive whisky, that is nowhere near as drinkable as this.

Late spring with vanilla
Just had my first dram. Easy on the palate. Doesn't overwhelm and very enjoyable. Smooth vanilla with a late spring taste. About to have a second to flush out some of the other notes. Medium finish.
