A 15-year-old single cask, single malt Scotch whisky from Tomintoul. This Speysider matured in oak barrels, before finishing in a first-fill Calavdos cask, not something you see every day! Bottled up at a hearty 51.5% ABV, with an outturn of 254 bottles.
Malty grist, with layers of fresh and caramelised apples, a touch of waxy lemon zest.
Tarte Tatin, and apple peels, with warming spices, and a touch of vanilla cream.
Pleasant dryness, with peppery spice and lingering apple.
