Madeira wine casks can be used to great effect to finish whisky and that's exactly what has happened here. Tomintoul has taken some of its single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside and treated it to time in casks that used to hold Madeira wine to conclude its 15-year maturation. A total of 6,654 bottles were filled at 46% ABV with no added colour or filtration.
