This right here is a single cask single malt from the Tomintoul Distillery, which was filled into a single Oloroso sherry butt back in October 2004. After 13 years of maturation, in September 2018 the cask was cracked open and the whisky was bottled up at 59.2% ABV. Just 858 bottles were produced.
Butterscotch sweetness, nutty with hints of praline chocolate.
Sherry to the fore with nutty, vanilla and glacé fruit notes.
Lingering sherry notes.
