Description

This 20 year old Tomintoul was placed in a specially coopered 50 litre Oloroso Sherry cask for the final few months (at least six of 'em) of its maturation for greater intensity.

Nose

Raisins, oak and sugared almonds soon move into sultanas, orange peel and honey with some more tropical, herbal elements beneath the surface.

Palate

Dried golden fruit and (slightly chocolate covered) pear drops.

Finish

More sultanas, oak and peels.

The sherry influence here is simply astonishing - in fact the power borders on tricky at times. NEed to be in the right mood for this, but if you are - oh boy...
