Tomatin distillery's new no-age-statement release uses virgin oak as well as bourbon casks. It provides a new entry level to the Tomatin range but the use of different casks make this a unique expression.
Lemon, panatella and pine forest. Slightly green with vanilla.
Cracked pepper and sweet barley with pineapple cube sweets. Waves of warming oak beneath.
Sweet but peppered.
A clean and certainly affordable single malt whisky.

Sorry but malt whisky dosen't water just a good palate...... what's the point of having a good fire just to put the flame out with water.... enjoy the malt.. dont kill it.......
New to malt whiskey, cheap but harsh needed quite a bit of water
Darn it! I forget the rating AGAIN!!
Don't know where the bad reviews are coming from. I tried this as day 16 of my Scotch Whisky Advent Calendar and thought it to be quite good. Does it taste young? Yes it does, but not in a bad way. It is not rough or harsh, but it is mellow and flavorful. I was surprised to see that this is only $27 US. I had this pegged for a $45-50 for sure. Don't believe the naysayers. Try it for yourself. You'll be glad you did.
