Matured for a whopping 42 years, this single malt from Tomatin is a real treasure. So special in fact, that the gang at Forgotten Gems snapped it up and put their loving care and attention into producing an outturn of just 28 bottles.
Sweet, juicy, tropical layers of candied mango and pineapple, with rich old oak and vegetal malt nestling comfortably beneath.
Woody spices open things up, with cinnamon sticks, liquorice, and fennel, before buttery shortbread and stewed stone fruits arrive.
Creamy, toasty vanilla wraps things up, while those herbaceous notes linger on.
