Tomatin 28 Year Old 1990 (batch 19/015) - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail)

A wonderful Highlander in the form of a Tomatin single malt, distilled in the year 1990. The whisky was left to rest in a single refill American hogshead for a lengthy 28 years, until in January 2019 Gordon & MacPhail decided it was time to bottle it. The hogshead yielded 263 bottles at cask strength, 50.1% ABV, released as part of the Connoisseurs Choice series.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose

Banana aromas combine with hints of dry hay and lavender.

Palate

Mouth-coating; nutty undertones sweeten into flavours of tropical fruit and citrus zest.

Finish

A slight herbal edge lingers on the finish.
