This 21-year-old single malt from Tomatin was originally released as a Travel Retail exclusive. Matured solely in bourbon casks, it's packed with layers of fresh pastries and tropical fruits, with a buttery, creamy finish.
The influence of full maturation in ex-bourbon barrels is immediately obvious. Lashings of vanilla, coconut and caramel leap out of the glass with a pleasant level of oak spice. Settling in time, notes of baked apples and citrus emerge along with a soft floral aroma.
Delicious; notes of apple crumble, freshly baked croissants and Manuka honey give a sweet, warming base from which ginger, clove and star anise add layers of spice to.
