Tomatin 1997 (bottled 2014) - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail)

A Gordon & MacPhail bottling of Tomatin single malt, distilled back in 1997 and bottled in 2014 as part of the Connoisseurs Choice range. You don't see very many indie bottlings of Tomatin's whisky, so this is rather curious indeed...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Fruity esters - think banana and mango (and a touch of rum-like spices, too). Slight hint of cigar box.

Palate

Citrus blossom, chocolate mousse and another wave of fresh tropical fruit.

Finish

Apple skin and peppered oak.
