A 1988 vintage Tomatin here, bottled by the folks at Malts of Scotland in Germany. It was distilled in 1988, aged in a Sherry hogshead and bottled in 2014 with an outturn of 265 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Raisins, apples and thick slabs of chocolate. A vegetal hint or two begin to grow with a drop of water.
Palate
Green fruit, old oak, more chocolate and a kick of ginger.
Finish
Spicy pepper and nutmeg, with the final hints of sultana and raisin juiciness.
