An 18 year old from the Tomatin distillery, finished in Spanish oak Oloroso sherry butts.
The nose is quite punchy and of good body. There are notes of chewy grape and sultana with winter spice; cloves and cinnamon. There are notes of vanilla fudge and a most supple of smokes, weaving gracefully in cut grasses and apple peels. The palate is quite sweet and full. There are notes of barley sugar and honeycomb. Hints of chocolate orange and cocoa dusted liberally on toasty oak. The finish is long and powerful with a dry, chewy oak and a touch of pepper.
Rich and sherried, with orchard, citrus and dried fruit – apples, oranges and sultanas.
Sweet and honeyed, with a backbone of citrus, fruit cake, chocolate and spice.
Long and warming spice fades to leave fruit and chocolate.

Exceptional dram, one of the best 18 year old out there
Deep, sherried nose and this continues in mouth. Any sherry lover will love this.. It's marvellous stuff. Oloroso casks so fairly sweet but nowt wrong with sweet sultanas and raisins. A bit of orange in this, and i would say honey too as you'd expect. Very smooth and a good long warming finish. anyone disappointed is a hard to please person indeed . struth
This is one of the best from Tomatin, it is complex and full of rich, fairly sweet flavour with subtle spice and oak. It has a nice mouthfeel. First pour needs a few minutes to breathe.
Exceptional quality whisky. Surprised to see some negative reviews, Do not trust the negative reviews.
I always enjoy drinking this whisky and make sure that I keep one in my stock. The sherry notes are perfect for me. If you enjoy sherry whisky,give this one a chance. You won’t be disappointed.
