Tomatin 12 Year Old 2002 - Cuatro - #4: Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask Finish 70cl Whisky

Tomatin's Cuatro range was unveiled in 2014, and features four single malt bottlings, all distilled on the same day, matured in American oak casks for nine years, and then finished in four different types of Sherry cask for three years. Incidentally, 'Cuatro' is the Spanish word for "four" - rather fitting for this series, don't you think?

For the fourth Cuatro bottling, Tomatin finished their single malt Scotch whisky in first-fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, resulting in a flavour profile highlighted by stewed plums, candied ginger and fine pastry.

1,500 bottles of each of the Cuatro bottlings were produced.
