Tomatin 11 Year Old (cask 5777C) - The Single Cask
11 year old single malt from the Tomatin distillery, independently bottled by The Single Cask. This particular expression was initially aged in ex-bourbon oak before being transferred over to a 50 litre Oloroso sherry cask for the final five months of maturation. Just 70 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Slightly burnt toast with honey. Caramel, pear, coffee beans.
Palate
Orange zest acidity balanced by dark chocolate and heavy vanilla cream. A hint of fragrant oak.
Finish
Coffee again, cigar box and some red apple sweetness.
