A top Tobermory, bottled with love and attention by our careful hands. The cask this release came from was filled by the distillery on the Isle of Mull in November 1995. For 18 years, the whisky matured in that refill hogshead until February 2014, when we produced 100 bottles of the lovely single malt at natural cask strength.
Nose: Kaffir lime, barley sugar and pear skin into sweet potato and even Jerusalem artichoke, before reaching more coastal notes.
Palate: Warming ginger and oily cereals.
Finish: Wood smoke supported by a little fruit and a hint of biscuit.
Overall: A gentle and fairly savoury single cask that strays into the fruity and coastal too.
