Released in early 2019, this 12 year old single malt from Tobermory was launched in celebration of the distillery returning to life after a two year break! This expression slumbered peacefully in American oak casks for a dozen years before being bottled at 46.3% ABV. What a way to get back in the swing of things!
Pear, peach and apple, with a dusting of brown sugar. Greek yogurt, barley and a hint of cinnamon pastries.
Rounded malt notes once again, now a touch oily. Still packs a hearty helping of stone fruit sweetness.
A flash of orange peel, soft sawdust, toffee and dates.
Very smooth finish. Well balanced whisky
Lovely bottle and the price doesn’t break the bank. I have almost finished it now and will probably finish it completely this weekend. It goes down quiet smoothly if I’m honest and would consider getting again on my rounds.
Well worth five stars. For the price this is one of the best single malts I have had in a long time.
Trust me .... Ti's Dram is worthy of the 5 stars . Its one of the most perfectly balanced drams I have had and I have gad a few..... I have arpund 50 bottles a year . Mostly one a week . So yea ... Please .. Do go for it . Slainté
A lot of complexity for a 12 year old. The addition of a little water reveals other layers & nuances within the flavour profile. I enjoyed this more & more as I went through the bottle over a few months, and it’s not every whisky I can say that for!
