The series is named after the distillery's founder, John Sinclair, and this particular edition packs plenty of peaty notes alongside the ripe red fruit sweetness imparted by the Rioja casks. A sublime evening dram, this.

“This is a lovely whisky. At 46.3% proof, you need to treat it with respect. It is smoky, peaty and extremely smooth. I like mine on its own or occasionally with a teardrop of water. This is a very enjoyable whisky and I've already recommended to friends and have already bought it again.”

Wonderful stuff.

Unmistakably Ledaig with a slightly sweet twist which works wonders on the young spirit. Great bang for your buck. If you’re a fan of Ledaig you will not be disappointed.

Great Value Malt

Wow, cracking dram. I'm a relative new-comer in terms of peat enjoyment but I found this utterly delicous. Smoke and warm fruits on the beak. Hit of the peat on the palate giving way to cooked red berries, caramel and a very light hint of brine. A sweet, peppery finish. Will likely replace the bottle quickly, especially at that price. NAS, but to be frank it matters little to me.

A belter - not to be missed if you have not tasted it, provided you like a strongly flavoured dram.

This is a belter! Don't consider it unless you like peat, smoke and salt, but if you do, this is an exceptional whisky that you will return to again and again. My favourite treat in many a year, bought for me by my son who did the groundwork and then took the advice of a shop assistant in St Andrews. Whoever he may be, I raise a glass to him. Exceptional :)

A delicious creation.

I first tasted this from a drinks by the dram taster selection gift box. I was impressed enough to order myself a bottle for my wife to give me for Christmas. I'm now hooked on it, its delicious! It's a very different taste to any whisky I've tasted before and I can imagine that it may not appeal to all drinkers with traditional tastes, but I think its a masterful creation and I recommend that you try it. As described by earlier reviewers, smooth, smoky, sweet and fruity with a super lingering finish. I will buy again.
