Ledaig 8 Year Old 2007 (The Whisky Agency / La Maison du Whisky)

Peated single malt Scotch whisky from the Tobermory distillery, released under their Ledaig name. This was distilled in 2007 and aged in a single hogshead until it was bottled in 2016 by The Whisky Agency and La Maison du Whisky. Lovely stamp on the label showing the Rubha-Nan-Gall Lighthouse, which is north of Tobermory.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Smoky peanut shells, earthy peat and grist.

Palate

Fruitier than the nose, though the peat remains potent and powerful.

Finish

Sea-salt and pepper crisps, alongside a touch of apple.
